Mindfulness meditation has been growing rapidly in popularity due to its versatility and benefits. It has been trialled successfully in many settings including schools, prisons, workplaces and on public transport. Research shows that mindfulness meditation helps to reduce anxiety, depression and physiological markers of stress. Mindfulness is one of the easiest forms of meditation to try for beginners, and still deeply rewarding for those who have prior experience with meditation. Come along and share this guided mindfulness meditation. This particular session will introduce you to a step-wise mindfulness technique, which begins with progressive muscle relaxation, then takes you into your senses, and finally into your sense of inner space. Deeply relaxing! The meditation session will be led by Stephanie Legg England who is the proprietor and principal meditation teacher at Hillwood Road Meditation Skills Centre. Stephanie’s qualifications as a meditation teacher have been recognised by the Meditation Association of Australia.
